April Weaver Sworn In As Alabama District 14 Senator

   

 

    On July 14 at 10 a.m., Ms. April Weaver was sworn in to serve in the Alabama Senate for District 14. The ceremony took place at American Village.

    Senator Weaver previously served as a Representative in the Alabama House for ten years before being appointed by President Donald Trump to be the Region IV Director in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. 

   Shelby County Senate Delegation Chair Dan Roberts gave the invocation and spoke about Senator Weaver’s past in the House, Judge Matt Fridy, a former House member and Senator Weaver’s original campaign manager, swore her into office, and Shelby County House Delegation Chair Arnold Mooney presented her with a resolution to congratulate and welcome her back home on behalf of the Shelby County Legislative Delegation members.
