Senator Cam Ward has been appointed to be director of the Alabama Board of Pardons and
Paroles. He will be replacing Judge Charlie Graddick.
Ward began serving in the Alabama House of Representatives in 2002, before being elected to
the Alabama Senate in 2010. He currently serves as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary
Committee. He will begin serving in his new role on Dec 7, 2020 and his position as a senator
will end.
The Shelby County Legislative Delegation will miss Senator Ward, and wishes him well in his
new position.
