The new members of the North Shelby Library Board met on July 23rd for a organizational meeting of the North Shelby Library District.
After being sworn in by Judge Matt Fridy, the new board elected temporary officers. The board will elect permanent officers at the annual meeting of the library board in October. The library board temporarily elected Kasandra Stevens as President, Paul Garris as Vice-President, Andy Martin as Treasurer, Rebecca Johnson as Secretary, and Sam Gaston will serve as Member-at-Large.
Following the election of temporary officers the new board proceeded to conduct financial business on behalf of the North Shelby Library District. The library’s business manager also discussed with the board the library’s process of billing residents and businesses in the library district.
The next meeting of the North Shelby Library Board will be on August 13th at 4:00 p.m. at the North Shelby Library on Highway 119.
